S.S

The fiery wreckage of the S.S. Sunshine.

Some adventures are fluffy and light. Others are dark, depressing, and horrific. And that's all well and good.

Sometimes, however, the dark adventures will start off in a deceptively cheerful manner, wait until the reader drops their guard, then hit them with the full medley of death, gore, and misery.

Named after a quote from the Coen Brothers film The Hudsucker Proxy.

Examples[]

"I decided to make an adventure which is silly and lighthearted and not at all dark and depressing! This statement may be an outright lie."

A lovely, cute game about an adorable welsh corgi. at least, until he gets brutally murdered.

A group of stuffed toys navigate the Enchanted Fairy Country, searching for survivors of the airship crash that stranded them.

Despite the cartoony look it has many very gory scenes, including ripping off of appendages and disemboweling.

  • The Happy Adventure

Not only does this adventure feature "Happy" in its title, it also includes a jolly businessman before he breaks his legs, gets hit by a truck, and thrown in jail.

A play on the fairy tale character of "Little Red Riding Hood," Little Crimson Hood is a monster hunter driven by greed and bloodlust.

A parody of Dr. Seuss' Green Eggs And Ham that quickly becomes violent. It is written completely in rhyme, just like the book.

Originally titled "Hijinks at the Office". These hijinks involve the brutal murder of everyone in the vicinity.

  • Red Sunlight

A horror game originally titled "Kitten Fun".
